Location: We will be holding our wedding in York, PA, which is an area central to family and friends. The ceremony and reception will be held at the Yorktowne Hotel, with the ceremony occuring in their beautiful Mirror Room and the reception hosted in the Yorktowne Ballroom afterwards. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Yorketown Hotel at a group rate of $109.00/night, so if you are interested in staying with them be sure to mention you are with the "Nicholas Elliott and Judith Oleson Wedding Party" to get the lower rate. You can make a reservation over the phone at (800) 233-9324. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, June 24, 2009, in order to secure the group rate. There are several other hotels and motels nearby for those with differing budgets. Schedule: We will begin with the ceremony at 4 in the afternoon on Saturday, July 18th, 2009. There will be a cocktail hour in the Yorktowne lobby until the Yorktowne Ballroom becomes available at 6pm. Festivities will continue until 10pm. We intend to have a 'kids' room available for younger children, with two babysitters on hand to have fun and entertain. Food and Games will be provided. Travel: There is an airport in York, however it is not a major hub. The nearest major airports are: Baltimore BWI (65 miles), Philadelphia PHL (95 miles), Newark (200 miles) Greyhound buses run in the area. www.greyhound.com There is a direct line from Baltimore to York, or a longer 2-bus journey from Philadelphia. Amtrak (www.amtrack.com) also have train lines running in the region, but the nearest station is Elizabethtown, PA, which is 13 miles from downtown York. Registry: We cannot overstate what you, as the community on which we depend, have provided us throughout our lives as individuals.
